Want to make your Paris-hating friends really mad?
Put on her new single, "Stars Are Blind" and don't tell them who it is. Watch them bob their heads to the lilting, reggae-lite beat. Drop in a casual, "Pretty good, huh?" and wait for them to agree. Then, offer the big reveal: It's Hilton singing. It's like a musical version of "Punk'd." Soon people will be falling to the floor. Have chairs ready. They may get so upset there may be fisticuffs, so be prepared. Yes, she has a surefire hit on her hands and a pretty good one to boot. Of course, no one is naive enough to think that Miss I-Forgot-Where-I-Left-My-Dog managed this all by herself.

Single Leaked to Internet
With the Internet leak of her first single, "Stars Are Blind," the celebrity shows that, with enough time, loads of cash and electronic vocal manipulation, anyone can be a pop star. "Stars Are Blind" is a passably good song that avoids the current pop formula by throwing in some mainstream reggae. The lyrics, which she reportedly had a hand in writing, are mostly puppy-love growls that will appeal to young teens. Producers fattened up the skinny heiress' sound by layering her voice upon her voice -- several times. Don't expect her to tour because this is a studio-magic CD. Still, expect to see a lot of Miss Hilton on MTV this summer.
